Carmenère

IGT Marca Trevigiana

When this grape variety reached north eastern Italy from Bordeaux in the XIX century, it was called “Italian Cabernet franc” in order not to confuse it with the original French one. Almost forgotten in France, this variety has been enthusiastically adopted in the province of Treviso.
